How to Jump Start a Car 

If you can't start your car by battery recharge, another way to get it started is from a jump start.  This is when you kick start the engine when the car is moving. You can jump start from a push, going down a hill or being towed behind another car.

Step 1
Find a helpful person to push or tow your car (the more handsome the better!)

Step 2
Engine off, in neutral gear and handbrake off get him to push the car

Step 3
When the car is moving well, put yourself into 2nd gear but keep the clutch down

Step 4
Turn on the car and at the same time, release the clutch

Step 5
Your should lurch forward alarmingly then the car should burst into life

Step 6
You may need to try a couple of times.

Step 7
You will need to let your car run for at least 10 minutes to get the battery recharged, if you cannot start it again it is time to get a new battery as it is no longer storing the energy and holding its charge.
